A Golden Evening in Glen Allen

This wonderful couple came to Outdoor Dreams looking to create a space that allowed them to engage more with the outdoors. They were looking for a 2-room space with a shade structure, flowing curves, and a Mediterranean style. To create a shady lounge area, we designed a pergola with an increased number of rafters and top runners to ensure a greater shadow and increased shade. The patio is composed of tumbled pavers (Brussels from Unilock) to create an "Old-World" feel. To complement and soften the space, we created a Mediterranean-inspired plant combination that also provides ample cut flowers for arrangements (as seen throughout the photos). Additionally, as you would find in many Mediterranean outdoor spaces, the landscape includes a bubbling fountain that provides the soothing sound of rippling water.
